Healthy Image is a holistic fitness center who specializes a very personalized approach to the fitness & nutrition needs of their clients. The owner, Cody Watkins, is a Oregon State body building champion and a certified personal trainer. He started Healthy Image to make sure that his clients could receive the best possible assistance in achieving their own personal goals.
problem
As an award winning bodybuilder and personal trainer, Cody Watkins had a great business concept and wanted to start his own personalized, “studio experience” fitness center. The problem is that he needed to focus on training and needed someone to help him construct a fast and effective marketing and operational plan. We worked with Cody from day one to assist with the plans and development of his brand image.
solution
As we got to know Cody and defined his unique offerings and target demographic, we quickly identified that his business plan had 3 distinctly different offerings and target groups. To appeal to each group, we created a logo and identity or each of the business focusses.
Next we assisted with some demographic research and location branding. The location marketing focussed on helping accentuate the character of the space while still expressing strong brand images for each focus. In addition to providing ongoing location marketing support, we also assisted in creating banners, custom garments, and many promotional product items related to his business. We also created and applied some very dynamic vehicle graphics as well as many more marketing pieces.

demographic research
First, we performed some basic, but very informative market research of the area. By utilizing a host of census, tax and other vital data, we identified who and where to target and how far the marketing should reach. The first step was to identify specific target demographics for each of the three businesses:
- Healthy Image Fitness & Nutrition - Geared toward 25-60 year old active females who had specific fitness or health goals and the resource to sustain personal, studio type training and nutritional coaching.
- Competition Weight Training - Geared toward men and women focussed on body building, fitness competitions, and building/training their bodies to their ultimate potential.
- In The Zone Fitness Bootcamps - Geared toward group training and catering to the “BootCamp” method of training that has been very popular over the past few years.

Based on each target market, we designed logos we felt the target would identify and respond to.
location marketing
After the identities were developed we went to work creating signage for the studio space. We produced several large format, hi-resolution prints of the logos and other decor items and installed them in the space.
garments
As Cody grew the business, hired employees and developed the brand of Healthy Image the need for branded garments was growing. We started with a basic screen printed t-shirts, which were very popular with his clients. Then we provided custom printed tank top and then some high quality hooded sweatshirts.
vehicle graphics
Next we transformed the very bold company vehicle into a mobile billboard for Healthy Image. As the company truck is a large vehicle and commands attention by itself, the addition of the high contrast yet sophisticated black and white color scheme, makes for an eye catching combination.
promotional products
As we are a premier member in the promotional products industry, we leveraged our resource network to create some industry appropriate promotional items for Healthy Image.
printed and custom materials
One of the methods utilized to promote the business in the immediate area of the studio was to canvas the local residences with door hangers. We also created custom flyers and a lead generation boxes that Cody placed inside strategic, non-competing businesses around his area.
